GOLD POCKET WATCH VERGE FUSEE

Open face pocket watch in gold case with inlaid and engraved décor, total (gross) weight 62,05 g, Ø 4 cm. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes, two decorative hands and winding hole, marked: "Berthoud á Paris". Verge escapement, pierced balance cock, marked by manufacturer. Case from inside numbered 15192. Elegant watch from the 1760s, which certainly cannot be said to have been created by Ferdinand Berthoud, but surely originated in the craft tradition of the family.
