TWO TANKARDS
Germany (Augsburg), last third of the 19th century
Two 500 ml beer tankards with relief décor in historicizing style: frieze with a scene from William Tell and mythical king Gambrinus surrounded by hop sprigs and ears. Glazed hard stoneware, first tankard with tin mount and porcelain lid with painted figural décor and inscription "Die zehn Gebote des Wirthes".
H. 13,5 cm and 11,5 cm.
