BOX OF TORTOISE SHELL

France, 19th century
Round box with a removable lid, tortoise shell, inlaid with mother-of-pearl and metal (Piqué work), lid with a decorative insert with two miniature medallions with grisaille figures and borders and ornaments of tiny pearls, decorated with color glass beads and stones, diameter 7,7 cm. Condition restored.
