PEWTER BOWL WITH A UNICORN

Pewter bowl on circular base with a wide rim adorned with hammered and engraved floral ornaments with the personal mark of the commissioner, It reveals that the bowl was crafted for the Vencelík family from Vrchoviště, the owners of Třešť Castle. The interior of the bowl features a motif of a unicorn with oak branches; stamped borders. Diameter 38.8 cm, two pewter marks on the rim: a hedgehog (city mark) and the letter "G" (master`s mark).With a hanging mount.

Provenance: private collection Jihlava. With a text by Petr Dvořák "Jihlavský cín", which mentions the bowl.
