CUPID LISTENING TO HEARTS

Cupid with a quiver of arrows over his shoulder, leaning over a bush beneath which lies a pair of flaming winged hearts, oval rococo plinth immitating terrain. White porcelain, brightly painted under the glaze, flesh tones, gilded details. H. 12 cm. Blue underglaze "Schwertermarke" (Knaufzeit), engraved model no. "O. 187.", Bossierernummer "42", brown painter`s brush mark "53". Condition C. Broken, partially restored leaves. Provenance: private collection, Bavaria.
