Wolfgang Kilian (1581-1662): Deß aller Durchleuchtigsten Haus Ostereichs Herzogen, Ertzhertzogen, König und Kayser Eigentliche Contrafacturen, samt historischer Beschreibung der Geburt register und geschlecht, von Rudolpho an deß namens dem ersten Römischen Kayser biß auff Ferdinandum II. anitzo regierenden Römischen Kayser etc. In unsere Teütsche sprach versetzt und von Wolfgang Kilian Bürger und Kupferstecher in Augspurg in Kupfer gestochen. Includes a title page, one additional full-page copper engraving, and one folded sheet GENEALOGIA HABSBVRGICA A PHARAMVNDO (lacking approximately 4 cm of the lower margin), followed by ARBOR GENEALOGICA HABSBVRG (missing). From the following bifolium, a section near the spine (ca. 17 x 4 cm) is torn out. Additionally, two portrait sheets are missing (Albertus der vierdte disz Namens and Andreas Ferdinandi). Features a variant portrait of FERDINANDVS der ander disz Namens / Ertzhertzog Caroli Son / Römischer Kayser (https://www.digitale-sammlungen.de/de/view/bsb11215167?page=137). Published by Wolfgang Kilian in Augsburg in 1629, printed by Johann Ulrich Schönigk. Bound together: An unidentified edition of the work by Dominikus Custos (1560–1612) and Marcus Henning: Tirolensium Principum Comitum ab an. virg. patus MCCXXLIX usque ad ann. MDIC genuinae eicones. Published after 1599. Several introductory sheets are missing, so the work begins with the full-page copper engraving COMITATVS Tirolensis, followed by 17 portraits: Albertus I., Mainhardus senior, Gebhardus, Mainhardus iunior, Albertus II., Ludovicus I., Iohannes, Maihardus III., Rudolphus IIII., Margarita Maultaschia, Leopoldus I., Leopoldus III. probus, Wilhelmus II. aulicus, Albertus (V. honorific.s Caesar II.), Carolus V. Caesar, Ferdinandus I. Cæsar and Maximilianus I. Cæsar. Book format 4°, 26,4 x 18,2 cm. Unpaginated, in German. Sturdy cardboard binding. Older repairs, torn sheets or missing parts (see above), handwritten notes, drawings, and typical signs of use. However, the book block remains intact and in good condition.
