Title pages printed in black and red. Contemporary half-leather binding, spine and corners in red leather, boards covered with marbled paper, grey headband, coloured edges. Dust jacket of vol. II bound in at the end of the book. Published by Václav Petr in Prague in 1924.
Svatopluk Čech: Ve stínu lípy. Book format 4°, 24.2 × 16 cm. 80 numbered pp., in Czech. Coloured lithographed title double-page and 8 full-page lithographed illustrations by C. Bouda (most signed in print and in pencil). Contemporary half-vellum binding, spine in white vellum with 2 broad bands at head and tail, hand-drawn title along the spine, vellum corners, boards covered with marbled paper, headband, top edge gilt. Dust jacket bound in at the end. On rear flyleaf stamped "K DUDEŠEK" and handwritten note: "Svázal EK Dudešek". Card slipcase covered with marbled paper. On front pastedown ex libris of K. Dudešek. Published by Topič’s edition in Prague in spring 1940 in a total print run of 2200 copies, of which the first 200 were numbered and printed on Dutch handmade paper Pannekoek; this copy is not numbered. 32nd edition.
Josef Hora: Proud. Book format 4°, 27 × 18.5 cm. 64 numbered pp., in Czech. Title page printed in black and blue. Typography, 8 lithographed illustrations and cover by K. Svolinský. Contemporary half-leather binding, spine in grey calf, 3 raised bands covered in blue leather, gilt decoration, leather corners, boards covered with marbled starch paper, headband, top edge gilt. On rear pastedown stamped "K DUDEŠEK" and on rear flyleaf stamped "Atelier Dudešek Praha", 1950s. Dust jacket bound in at the end; also ex libris of K. Dudešek by V. Cinybulk with a typescript on the reverse: "The binding was exhibited at the members’ exhibition in Mánes, January – February 1953". Card slipcase covered with marbled paper. Published by Svatopluk Klír in October 1948 as vol. XXIII of his Zodiac edition in an edition of 200 numbered copies, this copy being no. 56.
Hans Christian Andersen: Pohádky a povídky I. a II. Book format 4°, 23.5 × 17 cm. 309 and 261 numbered pp., in Czech, translated by a collective of authors. Title pages printed in black and red. Illustrated by Cyril Bouda. Contemporary half-leather binding, spine in green goatskin, 3 raised bands covered with black leather, gilt title, boards covered with marbled paper, double headband, top edge gilt. On front flyleaf handwritten note in pencil "Meisterprüfung 26 – 30. VI. 61". Published by SNKLHU in Prague in 1953 as its 107th and 112th publication in the department of belles-lettres and as its 1st edition.
All books in good to very good condition, the first with slightly rubbed binding.
