1917-1918
Weeping Woman (Madonna), coloured linocut on paper, 19 × 14.2 cm (23.4 × 19 cm), numbered upper left "IV." (sheet from the cycle Fysiognomie, printed by Kryl and Scotti in Nový Jičín in 1921), signed in ink lower right below the image "Vlastislav Hofman". Paper browned, creased, ca. 2 mm perforation in the upper part, edge tears.
Boy (Man), 1918, linocut on paper, 22.3 × 10.5 cm, signed in the plate with monogram "H" and in pencil below the image "Vlastislav Hofman". Paper slightly browned, otherwise in good condition.
Provenance: purchased by the present owner at Dorotheum auction in 2004 (Weeping Woman), and at the antiquarian bookshop Ztichlá klika in 2006 (Boy).
