Oil on canvas, 66×53 cm (77×66 cm). Framed, glazed. A half-length figure of a young woman (Helena Fourment) shown in a slight three-quarter profile. The sitter wears a period aristocratic dress with a prominent white lace collar, a pearl necklace, and a dark cap adorned with a pearl. Condition C. The work is mounted in an ornamental gilded frame. Older retouching and craquelure corresponding to the age of the canvas are visible on the painting; the canvas has been restored in two places.
