HANGING PLATE

Post-Hutterite production, Moravia, 18th century
A faience plate with a bowl-shaped base and a wide, slightly raised rim, white-glazed, decorated with blue floral painting in the post-Hutterite style. The reverse is fitted with a wire mesh with a hanger. Diameter 33,9 cm. Unmarked. Condition B. Minor chips and abrasions on the rim, finely craquelured glaze.
