ART DECO PLATE AND CAN

Čechy, Trnovany, Ditmar-Urbach akc. sp., filiálka v Teplicích 1st half of the 1930s of the 20th century
Decorative ceramic plate, white linen with a finely structured surface and marbled brown glaze, overglaze painting of twigs with colored leaves, "Madelon" tea sets. Red printed mark "DITMAR-URBACH T Made in Czechoslovakia". Ø 30 cm. Status A/B. Small abrasion in the glaze on the edge. Provenance: A. Skalický collection, Náchod, bought from the Wenke department store in Jaroměř around 1934. Together: Spherical jar with a lid in artdec morphology, white and externally marbled green glaze, lid handle in the form of a flower, engraved sign on the base "RT" (probably Rudolf Tropschug, Earthenware and porcelain factory, Most, from 1922, see M. Konečný, Česká keramika. Handbook of the ceramic industry in Bohemia 1748-1948, Prague 2003, p. 383, stamp no. 23103501). H. 9.5 cm, Ø 7 cm (upper edge). Condition B (hairline crack).
