ROSA BOEMICA, SIVE VITA S. WOYTIECHI, AGNOMINE ADALBERTI
Prague, 1668
Ex gente VRSINA, Rosensis Comitis de Lybicz. Strigoniemsis & Gniesnensis ARCHIEPISCOPI (...) PARS PRIMA + PARS ALTERA. Format 12°, 15.2x9.5 cm. 526 and 116 numbered pp., in Latin. Title page missing. Initials, vignettes, plates (surviving only fragmentarily, but including, for instance, the woodcut with the oldest Czech hymn "Hospodine, pomiluj ny" and part of a portrait of Šimon Brosius of Horštejn as provost of the Prague metropolitan chapter). Sturdy vellum binding, remains of a manuscript inscription on the spine, remnants of textile ties. Printed by Urban Baltazar Goliáš in Prague in 1668. At least 38 leaves are missing, chiefly those with copper-engraved illustrations (Caspar Dooms after Karel Škréta), so the book is more significantly damaged, including some further leaves and the binding.
