WENCESLAI PRINCIPIS MARTYRIS, AC PATRONI REGNI, NUNC VERO ADNEXIS STATUTIS PROVINCIALIBUS ERNESTI ARCHI-EPISCOPI PRIMI PRAGENSIS. Format 4°, 24.5x19 cm. 234 numbered pp., in Latin. GYMNASIALBIBLIOTHEK IN BRÜX" and "Lehrbibliothek des k. k. Staatsgymnasiums in Brüx," with inventory numbers. On the verso a woodcut heraldic motif, plus initials, headpieces, vignettes. Sturdy leather binding, spine with 5 raised bands, label with gilt lettering and decoration. Printed by the archiepiscopal printer Jakub Schweiger in Prague in 1762.
The headpiece at the beginning of the book bears the monogram "F.G." This occurs in woodcut decoration, especially on the decorative blocks of the Hradec Králové printing house of Jan Kliment Tibelli and the Prague workshops of Hrab and Labaun. It is most likely the initials of the engraver F. Girsch and his relatives of the same name. Source: https://www.encyklopedieknihy.cz/index.php/FG
