TANKARD WITH TIN LID

Germany, Thuringia and Saxony
Faience cylindrical tankard, painted colorful décor of Rococo ornaments, scrolls and palms on white glaze. Flat hinged tin lid with globular thumbrest, engraved initials and date „ARI 1805“. H. 24,5 cm. Marked on the lid by Dresden mark, bottom cobalt mark „K“. Condition C. Lit.: A. Klein, Deutsche Fayencen, Braunschweig 1975, p. 94-96.
