Italy 20th century Black painted gypsum, height. 29,5 cm. Signed on the base with an engraved „Bertelli R. A XI“ – 11th year of the new era, calculated from Mussolini's march to Rome in 1922. In this famous work Bertelli successfully united all ideas of futurism: energy, movement, simultaneity and speed. Sculpture represents the profile of the dictator in 360 ° vertical rotation. Apart from the mentioned ideology, the antique theme of the head of Janus is reflected, transformed into modern machine aesthetics and futuristic dynamics. Condition A. Condition A.
