Persia, end of the 17th century Curved single-edged blade of wedge cross section with three fullers. Steel guard, richly decorated with engraved flowers and leaves with residues of silvering. Wooden handle with residues of leather cover. Pommel in shape of lion’s head with green stones as eyes. Wooden scabbard covered with black leather, two lockets and chape, decorated same as guard. Bronze smooth lockets and chape. Length of blade 78 cm. Total length 93 cm. Condition B/C. Traces of corrosion on blade. Damaged leather cover of handle and scabbard. Condition B/C.
