Book format 2°, 1028 + 792 p. + index, in Latin. Parchment binding with blind embossing decoration, spine with five raised bands, red edge. Frontispiece with copperplate "Carlus VI. Romanorum Imperator semper Augustus", signed J. M. Bernigeroth. P. 655 torn, otherwise in excellent condition. Title page with red written "W. F. Hofmann". It is a codification of the Roman Civil Code, which was created thanks to Emperor Justinian I. Published by Johannes Fridericus Gleditsch.
