FOLK JUG AND BOX

Slovakia, Modra, and probably Moravia, 2nd half of the 19th century
Faience pear-shaped jug with strip handle and slightly widened mouth, white glazed, color painted décor in blue, green, yellow and brown. Comes with: faience sugar bowl with two relief handles, on higher foot, with a lid with fruit-shaped finial, white and ochre glazed, painted floral décor in blue, white and yellow with brown and yellow outlines, marked: "Maria Šmedek 1857". H. 14,5 cm and 14 cm, Ø of box 11 cm. No marks. Condition A-B.
