CUP WITH SAUCER

Bell-shaped cup with high volute handle and a deeper saucer, white porcelain, central classicist painting with an idyllic motif of mother and child in a landscape, sepia tone, gilded borders, handle, interior of the cup and floral motif on the bottom, written verse on the saucer from pastoral play Aminta by Torquato Tasso: "Congiunti eran gli alberghi / ma più congiunti i cuori.".
H. of cup 8,5 cm, Ø of saucer 14,5 cm.
Blue underglaze marks "Bienerkorb", impressed year "1824", resp. "1814" and number "12", resp. "50" and "27".
