CUP WITH SAUCER

France, Paris, P. L. Dagoty, and Switzerland, Zürich, 1st quarter of the 19th century
Porcelain gilded cup in shape of a scallop, handle and base in shape of a red coral. Comes with: oval porcelain bowl(saucer) with unglazed leafy band around the rim, gilded. Restored. The saucer originally comes with an Empire cup in shape of a swan, see the collections The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Accession Number 2006.583a, b (https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/232217?searchField=All&when=A.D.+1800-1900&where=Europe&what=Furniture&ft=*&offset=160&rpp=80&pos=163, 8.9.2020). H. of cup 5,5 cm, saucer 15,5x12,5 cm. Black written mark "Dagoty a Paris" (cup), blue underglaze mark "Z" and tripple bottom bronze "AB". Condition B-C.
