JUG OF MILK GLASS AND A CUP FOR HOT CHOCOLATE

Bohemia, probably Harrachov Glassworks, Nový Svět in Krkonoše, 1780`s
Pear-shaped jug of milk glass, narrow spout and melted handle decorated with color enamels with a painted floral motifs. A characteristic example of the glass production in the last third of the 18th century, trying to compete the increasing popularity of porcelain goods on the European market. Cylindrical cup with melted handle of opaline glass, painted with color enamels: floral motif with a central rose, gilded rim. Comes with: deep saucer of milk glass with similar décor. H. 17 cm; h 8cm, Ø of saucer 13,5cm. Condition A-B.
