František X. Diblík (1887-1955)

Three watercolors on paper, two seaside motifs and a rural motif, 22x14.5 cm, 18.5x14.5 cm and 28x19.5 cm, signed, the first two watercolors also dated lower right (in pencil, the last in ink) "F. X. Diblík -1911 -", the first drawing marked lower left "Ragusa". František X. Diblík - painter of genres and portraits, artist of the Czechoslovak legions in Italy. A native of Nalžovice near Sedlčany, he worked as a painter in Prague. He studied at the Academy with Hanuš Schwaiger. Framed, glazed.
