Romantic landscape based on contemporary lithographs. The silhouette corresponds to the contemporary depictions of Nové Město nad Metují, but set in a more "romantic" landscape frame with a ruin. Haun`s lithographs were extremely popular and inspired many paintings. The contemporary atmosphere and intimate formats created invaluable pieces for the friendly domestic atmosphere of collectors` interiors. Oil on canvas 38 x 29 cm. Framed in a later blondel frame, relined.
