A remarkably captured atmosphere of the ending day with swirling leaves and flickering lights on the embankment and the Pont Neuf bridge, all enveloped in the fading mist of golden hues and blue twilight of the impending night. A great example of the most impressive traditions of French painting from the turn and first quarter of the 20th century.
