Book format 8°, 23,5x15 cm. 227 numbered pages, in Czech. Paperback, handmade paper "Original Hand P & H", frontispiece with original woodcut by František Kobliha (+ vignette at the end of the text). Issued by Karel Říhovský in Prague in 1919, unknown number of copies, copy no. 53. The collection of horror stories includes, for example, the story "The Masque of the Red Death" by E. A. Poe and other works by various authors. Compiled by literary and art critic and translator, one of the prominent figures of Czech literary decadence: Arnošt Procházka. Another copy is in the collections of The Moravian Gallery in Brno, inv. no. BF 1133. Upper edge slightly affected by moisture, creased and torn cover, 1 sheet torn c. 2 cm, otherwise in good condition.
