Size 2°, 33.8x20.5 cm, 580 numbered pp. Hard parchment binding on wooden boards, with blindstamped decoration, spine with 5 bindings and two colour plates with gold stamped types and decoration; staples preserved in torso. Frontispiece and coloured copperplate pictorial appendices, partly taken from Merian`s Historia Naturalis (the plates have numbers 1-40 - of which no. 14, 15 and 31 are missing, often bound over), also vignettes, friezes, decorative lines. Binding rubbed, book block in good condition, complete, only spots of stains, bent corners.
