LADY WITH A BOUQUET OF WHITE ROSES

First decade of the 20th century
Pencil drawing coloured with watercolour, 47x72 cm. Figure of a sitting young lady in a grey dress with blue accessories, wearing a hat with ostrich feathers. A ladies boudoir in the Louis style with a an arranged drapery is complemented by an Art Nouveau vase with a flower of white roses. The dreamy melancholy of the moment is presented in a brilliant painting technique. A later version of the same subject, executed in oil, was sold at Sotheby`s auction in January this year in the USA for US$ 44,000. Framed, glazed.
