Tempera and oil on coated paper, 33.5x60 cm. Framed, glazed. One of the rare representatives of the cycle "Man in the City, City in Man", which Matal devoted himself to in 1946-1948 and in which he reflected the civilizing influence of "progress". The importance of this work is underlined by the fact that it was selected for a major lifetime retrospective exhibition, which took place in Brno at the House of Arts in 1999. On the reverse is the collector`s provenance and collection stamp, as well as the label Exhibited at DUmB December to February 1999 with the stamp and printed logo of the House of Art. Condition B. Small creases on the edges.
