Design and 3 color lithographs by F. Kysela. Hardcover parchment individual binding with drawn motif on the front cover, blind stamped on the back endsheet "KNIHAŘSTVÍ ŽAMBERK JIŘÍ FOGL & PAVLÍNA RAMBOVÁ", spine with gold letters, gold upper edge. Issued in Prague in 1910 in 700 copies, unnumbered copy. Cardboard case. Allegedly authentic love letters from the 17th century, written by the Portuguese nun Mariana Alcoforado to the French nobleman de Chamilly. Provenance: from the collection of MUDr. Jiří Kačer. Slightly creased lower edges of several first sheets, slightly soiled and partially torn title page.
