Oil on canvas, 78x98,5 cm (96x116 cm), signed and dated lower left "Bokšay 1938". Gilded frame. The dynamic palette of warm tones evokes a direct sense of experiencing a sparkling early autumn day on the bank of the calmly flowing river, with the blue sky reflected in its surface. A radiant red spot draws our gaze to the figures of women on the opposite bank, who are the actual focal point of the entire composition. An outstanding example of Bokšay`s peak creative period in the second half of the 1930s.
