A carved furniture piece popular for centuries in southwestern Europe. The rich carving in Renaissance style is complemented by a patinated stain creating a truly authentic historical impression. The upper open part was used to display unused, decorative pewter or majolica dishes, while the lower lockable part served either for storing food (bread, possibly sugar and honey), or for dishes used for serving and daily needs. 210x83x44 cm.
