TWO HISTORICIZING VASES

Moravia, Olomučany, Gebrüder Schütz, last third of the 19th century
Decorative vase on higher foot, spherical body with an acanthus neck, soft stoneware, relief decoration with floral motifs and pearls, band with an antique-style figural scene featuring satyrs and nymphs, glazed in shades of brownish-green and purple with colored details, turquoise-glaze interior. Comes with: smaller stoneware vase in similar style, with the same relief band, glazed in shades of green-brown and gray. Compare with: Vladimír Šujan, Olomučanská keramika, Olomučany 1968, picture no. 11. H. 36 cm and 33 cm. Impressed mark "SCHÜTZ BLANSKO" and model no. "182", smaller vase with illegible brush mark. Condition A-B. Small chip on the bottom side of the foot of the smaller vase.
