SHEPHERD WITH A CARRIER-PIGEON

2nd half of the 19th century, design about 1777
A rococo shepherd standing leaning against a tree stump, with a dove carrying a message around its neck and a lamb, all on a low circular plinth with a support, imitating natural terrain. White porcelain, brightly painted, flesh tones, gilded details. Counterpart to the figure of a shepherdess with a crook. This pair was created in collaboration between M. V. Aciere and J. C. Schönheit, model number F 73.
H. 19,5 cm.
Blue underglaze "Schwertermarke", rest of the bottom coated while restoring the plinth.
Condition restored.
