HUNTING COUPLE FROM A LARGER GROUP OF BIG HUNT WITH DOGS

Hunter and huntress in rococo dress (except for head coverings), with rifles, standing on low decorative plinths with supports, imitating natural terrain. White porcelain, color painted on the glaze, flesh tones, gilded details. These are models originally from the Frankenthal porcelain factory from the years 1765-1770. In his original designs of this set, Lück was inspired by the engravings of Johann Elias Ridinger from the work "Die par force Jagd des Hirschen und deren ganzer Vorgang mit ausführlicher Beschreibung," published in Augsburg in 1756. H. 16,5 cm. Impressed diagonally routed Wittelsbach shield and model no. "1597 / 10", or "1610 / 9", blue painted mark "CT" with a crown, or lion of A. Bäuml with date "1960". Condition restored. Lady with restored right hand and rifle, man with right hand. Provenance: private collection, Bavaria.
