A PAIR OF APOTHECARY JARS

Bohemia, 19th century
Porcelain apothecary jar of slightly conical shape, with the name of the substance written in black in a gilded cartouche: "RAD. FIL. MAR. PULV.," gilded borders, removable lid, h. 12 cm. Impressed mark "F&M" (Bohemia, Březová, Fischer & Mieg, after 1859). Comes with: apothecary jar on a taller foot made of turned and painted wood, with a golden-framed label with the name of the substance in black: "Pulv: China. F," h.14,5 cm. Stav A-D. Glued foot of the wooden jar.
