This famous and sought-after monograph on the renowned Baroque palace is one of the rarest books from Piedmont and one of the finest publications on the art of hunting. The text takes the form of a dialogue between the author, the architect and first ducal engineer, and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The engravings depict the palace`s architecture, gardens, hunting scenes, plans, and images from the decoration of the ducal residence, capturing portraits of members of the ducal family and court. It is very rare to find a complete edition in such good condition as this copy.
