GOBLET WITH SAINT GEORGE

Goblet blown from colorless glass, conical bowl decorated on the front with a matte engraving of a cartouche depicting Saint George on horseback, piercing a dragon at his feet with a lance, accompanied by the inscription "S:Georgÿ". Baluster stem with twisted nodus and melted gold thread. Wide flat foot adorned with a carved vegetal motif. Non-original arched lid is finely faceted, with a leaf border and a spherical finial. H. 18 cm. Unmarked. Condition A.
