TUREEN

Slezsko (?), 2nd half of the 18th century
Faience tureen, oval, deep, slightly wavy shape with two handles and a lid. The shape in the style of Holíč. The lid finial is crafted in the shape of a pear with a twig and leaves. The colorful painted decoration with floral motifs is likely later, unfired paint, partially worn off. 34x22x18 cm. Blue underglaze mark "TB(?)" similar to Holíč marks. Condition restored. Cracks, chips.
