PAINTED JUG AND TWO PLATES

Western Slovakia, Boleráz, 19th century
A narrow mouth jug with a strip handle, faience with a whitish glaze, painted with a stylized floral design in high-temperature colors, with a divided year "1896" on the front side. Marked: Ján Kitta - black brush mark "IK" in ligature. Two deeper round hanging plates, faience with white glaze, painted with a floral-ornamental decoration in blue/blue, green, and yellow; unmarked. H. 24 cm, diameter 21,8 cm and 22,6 cm. Condition C. Plates: hairline cracks, scratches on the rims; jug: chip on foot, scratches on the mouth.
