FOUR BUTTERFLIES
Germany, Selb, Ph. Rosenthal & Co.; Volkstedt, Porzellanfabrik Karl Ens, 20th century
Three butterflies on low oval bases: 1835 (Karl Himmelstoss), 14 and 93 (Otto Koch). Porcelain, brightly painted on the glaze (partially pre-printed), with gilding, in the first case, color printing. Green printed underglaze marks "Rosenthal Germany", "Rosenthal GERMANY", and "ROSENTHAL GROUP GERMANY - CLASSIC ROSE COLLECTION", embossed model numbers, one with painter’s brush mark, one with embossed designer`s name "K. HIMMELSTOSS".
Together with: smaller butterfly, porcelain, colorfully painted under the glaze, with gilding. Green printed underglaze mark "Ens Volkstedt" and brown brush mark "15.".
