TWO ROCOCO GROUPS

Bohemia, Prague (Smíchov), K. k. priv. Porzellan- u. Steingutfabrik von Kriegel & Co., half of the 19th century
A seated lady with a cavalier on a raised decorative base, white porcelain, brightly painted over glaze, flesh tones, gilded details. Height 16 cm. Impressed marks "K & C PRAG" and "P." on the reverse of the base. Minor chipping in the lace trims of the sleeves. Another example is held in the collections of the Museum of the City of Prague and was presented at the exhibition "Pražský figurální porcelán a jeho modelér Ernst Popp" at Troja Château in 2014. Boy Riding a Goat, oval pierced base with a support imitating natural terrain. Painted biscuit porcelain, partially glazed, gilded. Height 11,5 cm. Impressed mark "Prag", black brush mark "9.". Goat’s horn broken. Condition B.
