Poe in Woodcut: Fifteen Graphic Sheets on the Themes of Famous Stories, published in Pour’s edition in 1946 in an edition of 600 copies. Contemporary half-leather custom binding, spine in natural pigskin, leather corners, 3 triple raised bands, gilt title, boards covered with embossed paper, coloured headband, top edge gilt. Card slipcase covered with marbled paper. Stamped Atelier Dudešek Praha, 1950s. Dust jacket bound in at the end. Published by Václav Pour in his edition in Prague in 1948, originally with woodcuts by Bohdan Lacina, in an edition of 500 copies, of which 220 were numbered on handmade Maršov wove paper with the publisher’s blind stamp; this copy is no. 7. 1st edition. Very good condition, only 1 page soiled with a fingerprint.
