Book format 2°, 32.7 × 28 cm. Loose sheets in the original paper folder, unpaginated, in Czech. Woodcuts numbered I–VI, of similar size ca. 17 × 20 cm (no. I: 17 × 17 cm), printed on Chinese paper and mounted on support sheets; with protective tissue guards. Published by the artist at his own expense in Paris in Czech and French versions with an introductory poem Polibek otce (The Father’s Kiss) by Otto Klein in an edition of 75 copies in each of the languages; this copy is no. 46. Inserted promotional leaflet announcing the publication of the cycle and a prospectus of the bookseller Jan Kubín from Boskovice, who distributed it. The presented work represents one of the peaks of Kubín’s Cubo-Expressionist interpretation of the human body.

Provenance: from the estate of František Rybář. František Rybář acquired the work directly from Jan Kubín in Boskovice.
