PAINTED PLATE

Zittau Region, 1st half of the 18th century
Deep faience plate with a wide rim and bowl-shaped centre, decorated on a light green crackled glaze with stylised floral motifs in high-fire colours (manganese line drawing coloured in pea green), the well with a stylised coat of arms of the Saxon Electorate. Reverse unglazed, thus a so-called Halbfayence. Fitted with a wire mount for hanging. Ø 29,5 cm. Condition C/D. Glued.
