TANKARD WITH A LID

Austria, Gmunden, 19th / 20th century
Cylindrical tankard, slightly rounded at the mouth, the handle fitted with a pewter-mounted lid with a spherical thumbpiece. Faience (brick-red body), white-glazed and painted in high-fire colours with a mountain landscape showing a huntsman shooting a stag. H. 21,5 cm. With a circular maker’s mark to the underside of the pewter lid. Condition B.
