FOUR DECORATIVE PLATES

Moravia, Olomučany, Gebrüder Schütz, last third of the 19th century
Four hanging plates with relief decoration in soft stoneware, embellished with coloured glazes. In the central medallion: twice a raised relief of a female / male head or bust in historicising costume and hat; twice a seated small Dionysus / satyr playing a musical instrument. The wide rim is decorated with grotesque / floral motifs. Ø 29,7 cm (2x) and 42,5 cm (2x). Impressed factory mark of the letter G with an archer (for export wares) and impressed model no. “357”(2×), respectively “158” (1×). Condition A-B. Publ.: A.
