Pair of naturalistically modelled chicks on a low oval base with relief decoration imitating natural terrain. White porcelain, painted underglaze in natural yellow-brown tones. H. 7,5 cm. Green printed underglaze mark “Rosenthal GERMANY KUNSTABTEILUNG SELB Handgemalt Germany US-Zone” with one strike-through, impressed model no. “K.478.”, blue brush mark and the impressed name of the designer on the edge of the base. Condition A/B. Only a very slight rub to the beak of one chick.
