PAINTED JUG

Moravia, Tupesy (possibly Úředníček workshop), 1st half of the 20th century
A jug of bulbous shape on a low foot, with a strap handle and a concave neck; white-glazed faience, colourfully painted in muffle colours with an agricultural motif on the front and two bouquets on the sides, below the neck an inscription band "Girk Babiganek Wischau. 1718.", the neck and foot bordered by a yellow line, the handle hatched in purple.
