PAIR OF CUPS WITH SAUCERS AND SUGAR BOWL

1st half of the 19th century
Two porcelain cups in Empire form, bell shape with a concave rim, a raised handle attached to the cup body by a relief palmette, on a tall foot and with a deeper saucer; the smaller cup has a twisted relief décor and in the upper half a polychrome-painted floral band, all richly gilded. Together with: a sugar bowl without lid in similar form with small volute handles, in the lower half decorated with a light peach ground and red vertical hatching. H. of cups 11 cm, sugar bowl 10 cm, diameter of saucers 15,8 a 13,5 cm. The saucer of the first cup marked with impressed "S" (Bohemia, Schlaggenwald, Lippert & Haas), the other pieces have only indistinct incised "marks" ("f", "B"..). Condition A-C. The cup with floral painting has a glued handle.
