SET OF FOUR PEWTER VESSELS

Germany, Bohemia, 18th century – ca 1900
A barrel-shaped jug with a hinged flat lid and a strap handle, decorated in the lower and upper parts with simple banding. The lid is fitted with a handle and a sliding mechanism for closing the jug. H. 27.5 cm. Together with: a tripod with vertical ribbing and a turned wooden handle, additionally soldered bronze feet, marked on the underside: "I.F.S., S.W.FEIN.ZIN.", Karlovy Vary (cf. E. Hintze, Die deutschen Zinngießer und ihre Marken, vol. 4: Schlesische Zinngießer, Leipzig 1926, nos. 1348 and 1349). Diameter 14.1 cm, H. 6.6 cm. A bell-shaped vessel with two handles for cooling wine bottles, with relief floral décor in Art Nouveau form, H. 21.5 cm, stamped marks on the underside: "KAYSERZINN 4048". A plate of six-lobed shape with a slightly raised profiled rim, diameter 26.7 cm, on the underside barely legible pewterer`s marks "S W FEIN ZINN" from 1785, fitted with a hanging mount.
